On its February 23, 2016 broadcast, ABC's Good Morning America interviewed Venable partner William Briggs who is representing Jonathan Goldsmith, an actor best known for playing "The Most Interesting Man in the World" in a series of popular Dos Equis commercials. Goldsmith is being sued by his former talent agency for breach of contract and a portion of his earnings since 2014. Goldsmith is counter-suing claiming his former manager disclosed the details of a 2012 confidential agreement which "jeopardized his future as the spokesman for Dos Equis beer."
"My client has been in the entertainment business for over 50 years, he is an honorable man, he's never cheated anyone," said Briggs. "As one of the most interesting men in the world, he is a fighter."
