Ten years ago, Venable announced the opening of its first West Coast office, in Los Angeles with a specific focus on Litigation, Advertising, Media and Entertainment, and Corporate matters. Since then, the office has steadily and strategically expanded its presence and legal team into one of the largest in the area. Today, the office has grown to more than 70 attorneys and has expanded its core practices into Tax and Wealth Planning, Real Estate, Intellectual Property, Labor & Employment, and Bankruptcy.
On August 1, 2016, the Los Angeles Business Journal highlighted the office's tenth anniversary. It also noted that as part of the office's continued growth it will soon be taking over a third floor in its current building and expanding its current space to approximately 81,000 square feet.
