Beth Caseman, Former Senior Vice President and Acting General Counsel for Volunteers of America, Returns to Venable’s Nonprofit Practice in Washington, DC

Washington, DC (November 7, 2016) – Adding to its nationally recognized nonprofit organizations practice, Venable LLP announced today that Beth A. Caseman has rejoined the firm as Counsel in the Washington, DC, office. Ms. Caseman was an associate with the firm from 2006 to 2008. She most recently served as Senior Vice President and Acting General Counsel for Volunteers of America, Inc., one of the country’s largest charities.

Ms. Caseman brings more than 15 years of experience representing nonprofit organizations, both in-house and in private practice. She has significant experience in the establishment and operation of tax-exempt organizations, corporate governance, contracts, fundraising, and many other nonprofit legal issues. Prior to joining Venable, Ms. Caseman worked two stints with Volunteers of America, Inc., one of the country's largest charities. Beginning her career there as legal counsel, she was most recently the charity's Senior Vice President and Acting General Counsel.

Ms. Caseman received her J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, graduating cum laude in 2001, and her B.A. from the University of Virginia in 1992.
