Venable partner Ron Jacobs was quoted in a March 9, 2017, Bloomberg article on President Donald Trump's executive order imposing a five-year ban on lobbying by former executive branch employees. The ban has led several people to reconsider a position in the administration while the President has expressed an interest in seeing it expanded to Congress.
"Having the ban in place means that employers are going to be very careful about who they hire and what they hire them to do," said Jacobs. "Even if no case is ever brought, the ban accomplishes what it set out to do because employers will be cautious of who they hire."
