On April 24, 2017, the Los Angeles Business Journal published its list of the "Most Influential Women Lawyers in Los Angeles." Among this year's honorees are Venable partners Michele Mulrooney and Tamany Bentz.
Mulrooney was recognized as "one of the top tax and wealth planning lawyers in the entertainment industry" whose "reputation as a trusted confidant and exceptional lawyer is based on her ability to balance the legal and personal complexities that exist at the intersection of family and corporate law for high-profile individuals."
Bentz was recognized for her "work handling high profile trademark litigation as well as intellectual property matters generally, including patent, trade secrets, and copyright litigation" and providing clients "critical brand protection counseling to protect their most valuable intellectual property and prevent or reduce the negative impact counterfeiting and IP theft can have on their business."
