According to the article, like other traditional office tenants in San Francisco, law firms seem to be shrinking how much space they take while tech companies are growing their footprints. But law firms are not disappearing from the city.
In fact, some firms are growing. Take Venable, a law firm that recently grabbed 38,000 square feet in 101 California St. The firm opened in San Francisco in 2013 with six lawyers and is now up to 31.
In remarks to the reporter about Venable's new office and the expansion, Mr. Nelson said, "We are still in a business that is relationship driven, so having a presence here was necessary."
