The Recorder's Xiumei Dong took a tour of the firm's San Francisco office as it celebrated its open house on April 12, 2018, at 101 California Street. Also in attendance was San Francisco Mayor Mark Farrell, who welcomed guests and congratulated Venable on its new office and its continued growth in the city.
"I would want to be a client here; I would want to be an attorney here as well," said Farrell, complimenting the view from the new space. "Thank you for investing in our city as a law firm. Thank you to all the clients who are here who are investing their talents and time in the city of San Francisco."
"We really wouldn't have been where we are without the city's local involvement and support, and the opportunities this region presents," said Jim Nelson.
Since Venable opened its San Francisco office in 2013, the firm's local practice has grown nearly sixfold, to 31 lawyers and 19 staff.
