The recent arrival of the entertainment and media litigation team at the firm's Los Angeles office from Kelley Drye & Warren LLP was featured in Bloomberg Law, Law360, The Recorder, The Daily Journal, and several other publications. The team includes partners Lee Brenner, David Fink, Michael O'Connor, and Sarah Cronin and associates Sarah Diamond, Cary Finkelstein, Ken Kronstadt, Michael Godino, and Christina Nordsten. One paralegal and three staff members also joined the team.
Bloomberg Law quoted Mr. Brenner: "It was Venable's sophisticated platform that was so attractive to us. It has both an enormous wealth of talent in the media and entertainment arenas, as well as in business litigation across a wide range of fields," he said. "Once we met the people at Venable, it became clear that this is a natural fit for us."
In Law360, Mitch Evall, partner-in-charge of the LA office, said, "We are bringing over a stellar team of top-notch litigators who know the ins and outs of the entertainment and media industry, which perfectly complements our existing capabilities in this sector and makes us even stronger."
In The Recorder, Mr. Brenner said, "As big as Los Angeles is, everyone in the media and entertainment industry [still] knows each other," noting that he has long known Venable lawyers in the market and was attracted to the firm's expertise in the entertainment and media space.
