Venable Represents Crowley Maritime Services and Maersk in Multi-Million-Dollar Sale of Ardent Maritime

Venable successfully represented long-standing client Crowley Maritime Services and the Danish shipping conglomerate Maersk in connection with the recently completed multi-million-dollar sale of Ardent Maritime, a global marine services company, to the Aurelius Group, a UK-based private equity firm. Ardent Maritime, which is incorporated in the UK, has dual headquarters in Houston and the Netherlands, and subsidiaries in Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, South Korea, and Singapore. Ardent Maritime was originally formed as a joint venture between Crowley and Maersk, in whose creation Venable played a pivotal role at the time.
