Jennifer Bruton, a partner in the Real Estate Practice and administrative partner of the Washington, DC office, received the Legal Advocacy Award during Disability Rights Maryland’s (DRM) Breaking Barriers Awards Gala. This award honors law firms and individuals who have made significant contributions in advancing access to justice for people with disabilities in Maryland. Ms. Bruton serves as pro bono counsel for DRM, enabling it to navigate complex legal issues related to the operations of the organization.
DRM, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, is Maryland’s designated Protection & Advocacy agency. DRM is federally mandated to advance the civil rights of people with disabilities. It provides free legal services to Marylanders of any age with all types of disabilities (developmental, intellectual, psychiatric, physical, sensory, learning, traumatic brain injury) who live in facilities or in the community, or who are homeless.
