Washington, DC (November 11, 2020) – Noise in the Basement, a local alt-rock band featuring Venable attorney Andrew Price on lead guitar and legal talent from Gordon & Rees, will perform on December 10 alongside 18 bands from around the world in the first ever Law Rocks-apalooza, a virtual concert raising funds for local charities and ensuring Law Rocks’ future.
Noise in the Basement is a three-time winner of Law Rocks’ DC battle of the bands fundraiser and has featured various Venable attorneys over the years, including current partners Stephanie DeLong and Steve Freeland. The group has raised over $80,000 in donations, ticket sales, and sponsorships, of which a significant amount has been donated to Venable's pro bono client, Together We Bake. This year, the band will perform “Where the Streets Have No Name” and “Vertigo” by U2 from an undisclosed rooftop, and will be introduced by Bryan Stevenson, a world-renowned capital defense and civil rights lawyer, founder of Equal Justice Initiative, and author of Just Mercy.
