On April 3, 2021, the sixth annual U.S. Trademark Registration Toteboard ranked Venable fifth for the number of U.S. trademark registrations obtained for clients in 2020. The ranking is published by the Ant-Like Persistence blog and is based on surveys submitted by firms in early 2021.

Venable sets the “gold standard” when it comes to serving clients’ trademark and brand-related needs on a global basis throughout the trademark life cycle, from clearance and filing/prosecution to enforcement, licensing, and beyond. For nearly two decades, Venable has been a top-20 firm in terms of filing U.S. trademark applications and obtaining U.S. registrations, as judged by WTR, CompuMark, Intellectual Property Today, Trademark Insider (NameProtect), and the U.S. Trademark Toteboard. Moreover, Venable coordinates even more applications and obtains more registrations abroad than in the U.S. Venable has also earned strong rankings in World Trademark Review (Gold Tier, Prosecution and Strategy; Silver Tier, Enforcement and Litigation), Chambers USA (Intellectual Property: Trademark, Copyright & Trade Secrets), and Legal 500. We have been ranked as a Top Tier trademark practice by U.S. News and World Report in the past.
