Emily Plocki, a counsel in Venable’s East Coast Estate Planning Group, was accepted into Class II of the Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). The institute was created by the ACTEC Fellows to develop the profession’s future leaders in trust and estate law through a series of in-depth educational presentations led by outstanding subject-matter experts in each field from across the U.S. It includes six sessions for lawyers who were nominated by an ACTEC fellow and selected through a competitive application process.
Ms. Plocki assists high-net-worth individuals, multigenerational families, and owners of family corporations, both domestically and internationally, with tax planning and wealth preservation. She handles a variety of matters, including estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning; trust and estate administration; planned charitable giving; and business succession strategies. She prepares sophisticated lifetime and estate planning documents, designed to help families and individuals preserve and grow the businesses and legacies they have built over a lifetime.
ACTEC is a national organization of lawyers elected to membership because they have demonstrated the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, and competence and experience as trust and estate counselors.
