On October 19, 2021, the New York Post covered Venable’s recently signed lease for a new office space in New York’s One Five One building, providing the state-of-the-art, collaborative space needed to consolidate from two Sixth Avenue addresses following the firm’s 2018 combination with Fitzpatrick Cella Harper & Scinto.

In one of the year’s largest deals, Venable signed a 15-year lease for 157,800 square feet on the 48th through 52nd floors of 151 W. 42nd Street in Manhattan. The firm’s attorneys and business professionals will enjoy a 3,000 square foot wraparound terrace on the 49th floor. The firm is also leasing 11,000 square feet of concourse space.

According to the article, One Five One recently received $150 million in capital upgrades. Beyond a renovated lobby and a new food hall, changes included such environmentally attuned features as demand-controlled ventilation through sensors installed in air-handling units. The alterations earned One Five One a LEED Gold certification for existing buildings.

The firm expects to move to One Five One in the second half of 2022.
