Belinda Vega, a co-chair of Venable’s Commercial Litigation California Practice Group, was recognized among the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Top 100 Lawyers in the Los Angeles region. This award celebrates the achievements of leading attorneys within the Los Angeles business community for their ongoing efforts as outstanding legal professionals. Ms. Vega was also recognized among the Daily Journal’s Top Women Lawyers of 2022. This prestigious award recognizes the top-performing women lawyers in California.
Ms. Vega focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, including matters involving unfair business practices, securities litigation, contract disputes, and fraud. She also represents clients in wrongful death and collision cases. She has significant experience in all aspects of litigation, from discovery to depositions, trial, and appellate work. Ms. Vega offers practical solutions while minimizing litigation risk, and defends employers against false accusations, discrimination, breach of contract, and various other claims while in compliance with both complex California state and federal employment laws. In addition, she has been actively involved in counseling clients on corporate compliance and conducts internal investigations in response to government inquiries and allegations of misconduct.
“I really enjoy helping clients. I know it sounds geeky, but I like getting academic,” Ms. Vega said in a profile published by the Daily Journal, explaining that even after 20 years in practice, she still sometimes pulls an all-nighter to write briefs.
