The Honorable Mike Capuano, a senior policy advisor at Venable, was appointed to the Public Buildings Reform Board (PBRB) by President Biden effective November 10, 2022. The PBRB was established under P.L. 114-287, the Federal Assets Sale & Transfer Act of 2016 (FASTA), as an independent agency to identify opportunities for the federal government to significantly reduce its inventory of civilian real property and thereby reduce costs.
Mr. Capuano served as the U.S. representative for Massachusetts’ 7th Congressional District from 1999 to 2019. He was a senior member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the Financial Services Committee, and chair of the Special Task Force on Ethics Enforcement. Mr. Capuano uses his experience to assist clients in achieving their objectives throughout the federal government.
