The Daily Record and the Maryland State Bar Association Recognize Bill King Among Their Leaders in Law for 2023

Bill King, a counsel in the Commercial Litigation Group, was recognized by The Daily Record and the Maryland State Bar Association as a Leader in Law for 2023 in the Generation J.D. category. This award recognizes attorneys who have been admitted to the bar for 10 years or less and demonstrate professional accomplishment, community service, and a strong commitment to the legal profession early in their careers.

Mr. King focuses his practice on complex business litigation, including breach of contract actions, tort actions, shareholder disputes, and disputes relating to real estate transactions and land development projects. His clients include public and private companies, nonprofit organizations, and individuals working across a broad range of industries. He has experience practicing in both state and federal courts throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia, and nationwide.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. King served for two years as a judicial law clerk to Judge Richard D. Bennett of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. He also worked as a legal fellow in the U.S. House of Representatives, both in the office of Congressman C. A. Dutch Ruppersberger (MD-02) and for the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform (since renamed as the Committee on Oversight and Reform). Bill is an active member of several neighborhood improvement organizations throughout the Baltimore region and is founder and past president of Baltimore's City Center Residents Association. He has also served on the boards of directors of the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore, Market Center Merchants Association, Baltimore’s Community Law Center, and the Historic Charles Street Association. Bill is frequently quoted by Baltimore and Washington, DC area news outlets on the topics of urban development, transit, and preservation efforts in those two cities.
