Venable is pleased to announce that it has received the Exceptional Service Award from the ABA’s Death Penalty Representation Project, which honors the work of pro bono law firms and their capital defender partners. Venable will be recognized during the ABA’s volunteer recognition and awards event on September 14, 2023 in Washington, DC.
Each year the Project recognizes law firms and attorneys who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to providing high-quality pro bono representation for indigent death row prisoners. The Exceptional Service Award honors the outstanding efforts of volunteer law firms in capital cases. The Project first presented its Exceptional Service Awards in 2006.
