William King, a counsel at Venable LLP in its Baltimore office, has been elected a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation (ABF). Mr. King joins the global society of attorneys, judges, legal professionals, and scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession and to the welfare of their communities. Membership is limited to 1% of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. Members are nominated by their peers and elected by the ABF board.
Mr. King focuses his practice on complex business litigation, including breach of contract actions, tort actions, shareholder disputes, and disputes relating to real estate transactions and land development projects. His clients include public and private companies, nonprofit organizations, and individuals working across a broad range of industries.
Mr. King is also an active member of several neighborhood improvement organizations throughout the Baltimore region and is founder and past president of Baltimore's City Center Residents Association. He is also an active member of Baltimore Heritage, the Baltimore Architecture Foundation, and the Bar Association of Baltimore City's Historical Committee.
