San Francisco, CA (December 12, 2023) – Venable LLP is pleased to announce that Susan Keeler has joined the firm as counsel in the Transactional Tax Group and is based in the San Francisco office. Ms. Keeler concentrates her practice on domestic and international tax law, with an emphasis on cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, pre- and post-merger integration, and other global reorganizations.
Ms. Keeler advises clients on the tax aspects of cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, pre-transaction structuring and post-acquisition integrations, and other global reorganizations. She also counsels companies on tax reform issues, including financial reporting, tax reporting, and tax-efficient strategies.
Ms. Keeler has significant international experience, including practicing at international law firms in Chicago and California, and in-house as tax counsel and tax planning coordinator for a major multinational energy corporation. As both external and in-house counsel, she has coordinated multi-jurisdictional teams around the globe to plan and implement divestitures, acquisitions, and restructurings.

Ms. Keeler received her LL.M. in taxation and her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law, her M.S in accounting and B.S. in business administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and her B.S. in biology and classical civilizations from Duke University.
