On December 19, 2024, Law360 quoted Christopher Griesedieck on this year’s top government contracts cases in the U.S. According to the article, many courts and the U.S. Government Accountability Office made a number of consequential decisions for government contractors in 2024.
One such case is the recently revived yet long-running dispute between the Boeing Co. and the Defense Contract Management Agency. This was spurred by the Federal Circuits’ October ruling that regulatory challenges may be allowed at the Court of Federal Claims if they are related to a contractual issue.
A second yet important aspect of the decision made it evident that "contractors can raise a non-[Contract Disputes Act] claim and a CDA claim in the same case," Griesedieck said.
"So even if the court rejects your breach of contract claims, you can still raise—and potentially even prevail on—another claim," he added.
