On July 17, 2025, Thaddeus Kleckley was awarded the On the Rise—Top 40 Young Lawyer Award by the American Bar Association (ABA).
The On the Rise Award program provides national recognition for ABA young lawyer members who exemplify a broad range of high achievement, innovation, vision, leadership, and legal and community service.
Mr. Kleckley is a counsel at Venable LLP specializing in complex litigation, government investigations, and crisis management. He strategically counsels and defends clients in internal, criminal, and regulatory investigations, prosecutions, and litigations, directing many internal investigations and sensitive reviews on behalf of domestic and international clients. Licensed in New York and Florida, Mr. Kleckley frequently represents clients before state and federal courts—including the Eleventh Circuit—and in negotiations before government regulators. He maintains an active pro bono practice, for which he was recognized as a Pro Bono Publico in 2021 by The Legal Aid Society. He is a graduate of Cornell Law School.
