Taskeen Aman was spotlighted in the fall 2025 edition of the UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law’s alumni publication, Powerhouse Press. The following is an excerpt:

A two-time Rudman Fellow as a student at UNH Franklin Pierce, Taskeen Aman, JD ’22 currently works as an IP lawyer at Venable LLP, based in New York, where she specializes in life science patent litigation. Her experience includes advising pharmaceutical companies, complemented by a nuanced understanding of startup dynamics and venture capital landscapes.

Aman also has worked on a variety of pro bono cases spanning immigration, veterans’ rights, copyright, and prison reform. She received specific acclaim for her work representing the widow of a Navy veteran who was fighting to receive disability benefits that were denied during his lifetime. For her excellent pro bono service in 2024, Aman was the recipient of Venable’s 2025 Benjamin Civiletti Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year Awards.

In accepting the award, Aman spoke of the support she has received in her life and the importance of giving back “to people who often face it all alone... and who deserve someone standing right beside them in the face of injustice.”
