Denver, CO (December 9, 2025) – In its inaugural giving year, Venable’s Denver office announced $40K in grants to support the programming and initiatives led by Denver-area nonprofits. Award recipients include the Colorado Lawyers Committee, Urban Peak, Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, Rose Andom Center, SafeHouse Denver, and the Women’s Bean Project.

Venable’s Denver office recently celebrated its first anniversary. All new offices are eligible to participate in the Venable Foundation’s donation program after one full year of operating.

“We are excited to support these local organizations and the important work that they’re doing in our communities,” said Jim Sawtelle, managing office partner, Venable Denver. “We hope to support many more nonprofits in the future.”

Grants are given to nonprofits that align with one of the firm’s eight focus areas—arts and culture, education, environment, health, human services, legal services, workforce development, and youth impact—and are operating in a city where the firm is located. While grant amounts may vary, the average amount given is between $5,000-$10,000. To submit a funding proposal, click here. Applications are accepted three times per year—February 1, June 1, and September 1. For more information, visit the Foundation’s website.
