The Hill Quotes Christopher Griesedieck on Possible Changes for Federal Agencies and Contractors

On March 18, The Hill quoted Christopher Griesedieck on possible changes that federal agencies and their contractors may need to make based on directives from the current administration. According to The Hill, as agency leaders navigate new guidance from the executive branch, “the situation is exposing the challenges and costs of removing a major AI vendor from federal supply chains after an aggressive push to embed the technology in the first place.”

The publication also reported that technology leaders and government contracts experts warn that terminating certain subcontractor arrangements could create unforeseen costs for agencies, requiring them to seek replacements and potentially increasing expenses beyond what was anticipated during the bidding process. Griesedieck expressed a similar sentiment, explaining that “contractors may also be willing to make the modification to comply, but “[the contractor] reserves the right to an equitable adjustment if this is going to cost me a bunch of extra money.”
