Washington, DC (May 6, 2026) — In its first round of gifting this year, the Venable Foundation announced today that it has granted $770,000 to 101 nonprofits across the U.S. to support operations, programming, and other community-focused initiatives.
Total grants by city include:
- $222,500 to 28 organizations in Washington, DC
- $160,000 to 16 organizations in Baltimore
- $190,000 to 28 organizations in New York City
- $90,000 to 11 organizations in Los Angeles
- $37,500 to five organizations in San Francisco
- $30,000 to five organizations in Chicago
- $25,000 to five organizations in Miami
- $15,000 to three organizations in Denver
“We are proud to support organizations making a meaningful difference in the communities where we live and operate,” said Michael Bigley, director, Venable Foundation. “Each day, these grantees respond to diverse needs and help individuals and families thrive.”
Grants are given to nonprofits that align with one of the foundation’s eight focus areas—arts and culture, education, environment, health, human services, legal services, workforce development, and youth impact—and are located in a city where the firm operates.
