Suzanne Garwood will moderate a panel on developments in mortgage fraud. Mr. Broshears will describe the criminal element of mortgage fraud and the recent quadrupling of the FBI's mortgage fraud caseload. Mr. Larson will summarize MARI's Ninth Periodic Mortgage Fraud Case Report provided this past May to the Mortgage Bankers Association and the methodology behind the Report. Mr. Carlisle will translate what this mortgage fraud data may mean in terms of future regulatory and legislative action and will discuss the differences between "mortgage fraud" and "predatory lending."
