Tech Council of Maryland Innovation & Policy Luncheon with House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer

The Tech Council of Maryland cordially invites you to join Majority Leader and Washington, D.C. power player Congressman Steny Hoyer for a discussion of innovation legislation important to the region’s technology and biotechnology industry.  This is a great opportunity to meet and dialogue with the number two member in the United States House of Representatives.  Congressman Hoyer wants to hear from the region’s technology and biotechnology leadership.

In November 2006, Congressman Hoyer was elected by his colleagues in the Democratic Caucus to serve as House Majority Leader in the 110th Congress. His election as Majority Leader, which is the second-highest position in the House, makes Congressman Hoyer the highest-ranking Member of Congress in Maryland history.

Biography

Congressman Hoyer represents the 5th Congressional District in Maryland, which includes Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s counties and portions of Prince George’s and Anne Arundel counties.  A resident of Mechanicsville serving his 14th term in Congress, Congressman Hoyer became the longest-serving Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Maryland in history on June 4, 2007.
