On Wednesday, April 15, 2009, Jake Seher, Bill Donovan and Sam Olchyk led a panel discussion on the status and prognosis for Financial Regulatory Reform. The briefing was held at the New York Yacht Club in Manhattan and drew an audience of approximately a dozen private equity & hedge fund representatives.

Issues covered included the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), Term Asset-Backed Securities Loan Facility (TALF) and the Public Private Investment Program (PPIP). Congressional initiatives discussed included legislative efforts to create a Systematic Risk Regulator, measures to regulate Derivatives trading and Hedge Fund transparency. Executive compensation restrictions and Carried Interest tax modifications were also covered.
