"The Work of the National Museum of African American History and Culture Commission" to members of the National Museum of the American Latino Commission

This event has already occurred.
On Saturday, September 19, Robert Wilkins will present "The Work of the National Museum of African American History and Culture Commission," to members of the National Museum of the American Latino Commission. During his presentation, Mr. Wilkins will provide a status report on the development of the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture, which he helped to found by serving as a member of its planning Presidential Commission. The presentation will take place during the first meeting of the National Museum of the American Latino Commission, a group of individuals appointed by the President and Congress to study the establishment of a National Museum dedicated to American Latinos. If created, the Museum will document 500 years of American Latino contributions to the United States and house thousands of artifacts, images and personal stories.
