Kevin Shepherd to speak to Conference of Chief Justices

Kevin L. Shepherd is scheduled to give a presentation on the Gatekeeper Initiative and the risk based approach to client due diligence to the Board of Directors of the Conference of Chief Justices on July 26, 2010. Chief Justice Wallace Jefferson of the Texas Supreme Court asked Kevin to give this presentation to the Board so that the chief justices, who function as the top ethics enforcers in their respective jurisdictions, can become better attuned to Gatekeeper issues and their impact on client due diligence, the attorney-client privilege, and the duty of client confidentiality. Scott Rembrandt, a high level U.S. Treasury policy expert on anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing, will join Kevin in making this presentation to the Board.
