This session, co-presented by Bruce Parker, will thoroughly analyse if there is an attorney-client privilege outside the U.S., and if so, which rules apply in various situations abroad. Speakers will address what rules are applicable to U.S. and European in-house counsel, as well as U.S. licensed attorneys working in-house in Europe for either an U.S. or a European headquartered company, European licensed attorneys working in-house in the U.S. for either a European or an U.S. headquartered company, and other complex scenarios such as an U.S. attorney working for an Italian attorney on French law in France.
