New Organizational Conflicts of Interest; Latest Rulings by GAO and the Court of Federal Claims and a Preview of the New FAR Regulations Expected to be Published Later this Fall

The instances where the Government perceives that contractors are afflicted by organizational conflicts of interest (OCI) is growing. As a result, several recent decisions of the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims have sustained OCI protest grounds. Corporate acquisition strategies as well as Department of Defense merger approvals may be affected by OCI concerns.

Scott Hommer and Robert Burton, partners in Venable's Government Contracts Group, will discuss the ins and outs of new organizational conflicts of interest.  Also participating will be Glenn Wolcott, Deputy Assistant General Counsel, U.S. Government Accountability Office and Kevin Boyle, General Counsel for Vangent, Inc.
