Paul Debolt and John Cooney will present an overview of the sequestration process and its impacts on government contractors and suggested survival strategies. If sequestration takes place, it will inevitably lead to a host of consequences to include an increase in both contractor and government claims (stop-work orders, deductive change orders, construction changes, cost-allowability, quantum for valid claims) all of which will impact the contractor’s accounting, pricing and cost accounting systems.
This presentation is designed to illustrate potential strategies for mitigating the impact of sequestration on your company/client. John Farenish, committee vice-chair for the ABA Accounting, Cost and Pricing Committee, will moderate the event.
