"Detecting and Preventing Fraud and Embezzlement in Your Nonprofit Organization" at the 24th Annual Not-for-Profit Symposium of the Greater Washington Society of CPAs

Nonprofit organizations are highly susceptible to employee fraud and embezzlement. Reviewing recent cases, this program will discuss why that is so and what typically causes employees of nonprofits to do it. We will also review particular control weaknesses commonly found at nonprofit organizations, and discuss the simple and inexpensive controls that can be put in place to prevent fraud and embezzlement.
