Every year more and more schools enroll international students. Unfortunately, all too often schools have been reluctant to look closely at the legal issues raised by this new class of students. While we encourage schools to expand their international programs we also encourage them to attend to the legal issues that can create liability. Those issues include the international enrollment agreement, agreements with third party vendors, issues associated with granting permission to authorize testing, medical treatment and other actions as well as guidelines associated with homestay programs.
