Tbilisi
Joshua Kaufman led a three day IP training program in Tbilisi Georgia. Participants were ALFG (Association of law Firms of Georgia -a bar association comprised of the top 30 commercial firms in the county), GCA (The Georgian Copyright Association), GBA (the Georgian Bar Association) and Sakpatenti, the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia (their equivalent of the USPTO). The program was organized by the US Commerce and State Departments. A wide range of copyright and trademark issues were covered as training and to assist in the creation of their IP laws and institutions in their transition from a Soviet style to Western basis legal and IP system.
