With increasing frequency employees are raising claims against schools alleging violations of the wage and hour laws. Failure to properly classify employees as exempt or non-exempt, pay overtime, calculate pay, track hours and comply with other payment obligations exposes the school to possible serious liability. This session reviews a school's obligations under the wage and hour laws and provide a strategy for repairing past "mistakes" and implementing compliant policies.
