For those interested, the CCDRC is participating in an ABA program titled: "Introduction to Practicing Before the Federal Boards of Contract Appeals." This two-part program will take place on April 19 from noon to 3:30 pm ET at Holland & Knight (800 17th St NW, Washington, DC 20006). Participants also may attend via a live webcast.

Two things seem to be relatively certain in the Trump Administration: Federal government contracting will continue, and as a result, there still will be disputes between federal agencies and contractors. In fact, based on reports about increasing infrastructure and defense spending, some areas of government contracting may even be on the rise.

This is Part 2 of a set of back-to-back webinars that will provide a comprehensive introduction to practicing before the Federal Boards of Contract Appeals—the busiest forms for the resolution of such disputes. The expert panels feature board judges and experienced practitioners representing both government and industry perspectives.

In Part 2, our faculty will focus on the following:

  • Dispositive Motions
  • Pre-Hearing Matters
  • Hearings on Entitlement & Quantum

Panelists include: Judge Jerri K. Somers (Civilian Board of Contract Appeals); Judge Owen Wilson (Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals); Paul Debolt (Venable LLP); and Raymond M. Saunders (U.S. Army Legal Services Agency, Contract & Fiscal Law Division); Judge Jonathan Zischkau (Civilian Board of Contract Appeals) will moderate.
