Jim Hanks was a keynote speaker for the "Law and Capital Formation" presentation and a panelist for the "Progress Made Since the Implementation of the Companies Act, 2008" panel at the 2018 Annual Conference on Law and Business held in Johannesburg, South Africa on July 19 and 20, 2018. From 2001 through 2009, Jim headed the International Reference Panel, composed by the Government of South Africa, of lawyers from several countries advising the Government on revision of South Africa’s companies and securities laws.
