From virtual platforms for distance learning to communications about positive COVID-19 cases and testing, questions about HIPAA, FERPA, COPPA, and other laws have come to the forefront. This session clarifies which privacy laws do and do not apply to independent schools and provides practical tips for drafting school policies and agreements to address privacy expectations and compliance with legal obligations.
