On March 30, 2021, Robin Burroughs presented “Vaccinations and Employment Law” to the Maryland Nonprofits. As COVID-19 vaccines become more available, employers must consider how vaccination could impact the operation of their nonprofit and potential transition back to the office. This presentation addressed risks and benefits of reopening the nonprofit workplace or expanding current operations. It also addressed practical and legal considerations regarding required/mandatory vaccination for employees, voluntary employee vaccination programs, employee vaccination incentives, discrimination based on vaccination status, confidentiality issues, and the potential for legal liability.
