Venable attorneys George Constantine and Judith Kim will present the remote program “Trade and Professional Associations – Trends, Developments, and Updates in the Pandemic Era” for the Exempt Organizations Tax Series, to be sponsored by the D.C. Bar Taxation Community’s Exempt Organization Committee on April 21, 2022.

After two years of the pandemic upending lives and communities, what is the latest impact on nonprofit associations? Indeed, IRC section 501(c)(6) trade and professional associations are numerous and form the backbone of many communities, trades, and professions. In this session, George and Judith will discuss the legal trends, developments, and updates applicable to trade and professional associations. They will also cover notable IRS rulings and denials and explore how the federal tax rules impact the ways that associations may continue to operate.
