Venable partner Eric Prager presented “Unfair Competition: An Alternative Against IP Infringement” at the AIPPI World Congress, hosted by the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual World Property, on September 13, 2022 in San Francisco, California.
This panel addressed how in some cases, “classic” IP protection (such as trademark, design, or copyright infringement) against a competitor’s (alleged) wrongful conduct may for various reasons not be available or sufficient to fully address the harm that is occurring to the IP owner.
