Venable partner Becca Chappell will speak on the "US Tax Developments" panel at the 2023 IFA Canada International Tax Conference on May 17, 2023, in Calgary, Alberta.
The panel will discuss:
- Various parts of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, including clean energy incentives, the stock buyback tax, and the corporate minimum tax
- Recent government guidance on those new rules. The application of the new measures to Canadian corporations with U.S. operations will be given particular focus.
