Venable attorney Wes Sudduth presented on the panel “Federal Maritime Commission Regulatory Update” at the American Association of Exporters and Importers Annual Conference on June 21.

The panel discussed how the Federal Maritime Commission is working to implement the Ocean Shipping Reform Act of 2022, which broke new ground in creating a mechanism to seek greater transparency at the ports. They also dived into other changes that may be on the horizon to improve port congestion and business practices.
