Spring in Washington, DC is a time of renewal, cherry blossoms, and seasonal allergies! It’s also time for a refresh of the NIST Privacy Framework, first released in 2020. The Center for Cybersecurity Policy and Law invites you to engage with the NIST Privacy Engineering Program as they update the NIST Privacy Framework to Version 1.1 and build a “Joint Frameworks Data Governance Profile.” This is a fantastic opportunity to identify issues of focus for the framework’s update and provide suggestions on how to approach the development of a data governance profile using NIST risk management frameworks, including the Cybersecurity Framework, AI Risk Management Framework, as well as other related NIST resources. Attendees will also hear about other privacy-related initiatives such as the development of the NIST Privacy Workforce Taxonomy.

If you’re attending the International Association of Privacy Professionals Global Privacy Summit at the Washington Convention Center, Venable is just a short walk across the street.
