Building a Nonprofit Board of Directors – Legal and Strategic Issues

There are numerous considerations in structuring the board of directors of a nonprofit organization, including optimal size, qualifications, responsibilities, diversity, succession, compensation, and voting rights, to name a few.  This session will explore the various aspects of nonprofit board structure, from both the legal and strategic standpoints. We will discuss issues unique to different types of tax-exempt organizations, including public charities, membership organizations, and family foundations. Bob Waldman, a partner at Venable who represents many nonprofit organizations and is President of the Venable Foundation, will present at this webinar.


CLE Accreditation
