The Room Where It Happened: Complaints and Investigations
Monday, February 24 | 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. ET
Schools are increasingly receiving allegations on a broad range of issues from student misconduct to malpractice in the business office and administrative team to personnel issues and trustee issues. Not all allegations will fit neatly within a particular policy, such as whistleblower or student conduct policies. Schools must examine the appropriate response to various types of allegations, considering their scope of jurisdiction, the legal and reputational risks, fiduciary duties and community expectations. Using case studies, this session will explore various approaches and considerations in investigations and complaint resolution.
