We will discuss key similarities and differences between 20+ existing omnibus state privacy laws and report on trends across state privacy enforcement actions. We will also provide an overview of new privacy legislation enacted in state legislatures this year that should be on your radar, including amendments to existing omnibus privacy laws, new laws regulating specific data types, and amendments to data broker regimes. In addition to new laws, we will discuss ongoing regulatory efforts across the states, including automated decision-making technology and accessible deletion mechanism regulations in California and new proposed privacy regulations in New Jersey.
